"Потому что" or "Чтобы"

Today we would like to discuss two questions - "Потому что" or "Чтобы"

One question is the most popular, and the second is usually asked at the very end.
And the answers to both of these questions will be completely different.

Questions "почему?" and "зачем?"are difficult for every person. And for foreigners who study the Russian language are even more difficult, as they often confuse these questions.

So the question "почему?" set at the time of clarification of the cause of the action.

This question can be replaced by "что к этому привело?", "что повлияло на это?", "что вас заставило сделать/подумать... так?"

Variants of answers on the question "почему?" ↙

- потому что (the most common answer) - in colloquial style it can be at the beginning of a phrase, but usually comes after the main sentence.

     Я не смог прийти́ сего́дня, потому́ что пло́хо себя́ чу́вствовал. 

- так как - an answer in any style of speech can begin with it.

     Так как за́втра конце́рт, вам необходи́мо повтори́ть ва́ши слова́. 

- поэтому - indicates subjective factors.

     Мы о́чень уста́ли, поэ́тому не смогли́ прийти́. 

- из-за + чего? кого? Genitive case (2)

     Мы не пойдём в парк и́з-за плохо́й пого́ды.

- благодаря + чему? кому? Dative case (3)

     Я хорошо́ говорю́ по-ру́сски благодаря́ пое́здке в Росси́ю. 

More variants that are rarely found in the colloquial style of speech: из-за того что, оттого что, благодаря тому что, поскольку...

The question is "зачем?" ask at a time when they want to know the purpose of the action.

This question can be replaced by "для чего?", "с какой целью?" 

Variants of answers on the question "зачем?" ↙

- чтобы - may occupy any position in the phrase.

     Он прие́хал в Росси́ю, что́бы найти́ своего́ брата. 

- для того чтобы, с тем чтобы, затем чтобы - colloqual for written speech.

     Врачи́ де́лали всё возмо́жное для того́, что́бы она́ жила́. 

- лишь бы, только бы - strong desire to achieve a goal.

     Я гото́ва на всё, то́лько бы она́ вы́здоровела.

Very rarely you can meet the question "зачем?" in the sense of reason, but this form is obsolete and today is found only in literary texts, poetry, or special contexts for emphasis.

Conclusion: Answers to the questions "почему?" and "зачем?" maybe a few. But you need to remember that “почему” is always the reason, and “зачем” is always the goal.

2. Choose "потому что" or "чтобы".

Он не умел кататься на лыжах, ... его никто не учил.
